16,000 Digital Downloads For PSP Go Launch

Better hope your credit card is in good standing. The PSPGo; set to launch in North America on October 1st, will have approximately 16,000 digital downloads available right out of the gate. The majority of these will be movies at 2,300 and TV shows at 13,000.

Rounding out the remaining digital content will be 225 UMD digital offerings with games such as God of War: Chains of Olympus, Gran Turismo and Soulcalibur: Broken Destiny. The other few (if you've been keeping score) will be PSN exclusive content and of course, Sony's new PSP Minis.

For those of you who may not have that much wiggle room left on the old credit card, don't panic, PlayStation Network Game Cards (voucher codes that allow users to download full PSP games) will be available in stores to give players another method for purchasing content. Dutch retailers should take note as they can now sell PSPGo games in their stores! The full list of games has yet to be revealed but I'm sure they'll be available in the very near future.
