PS3 and XBOX 360 Price Cuts in the Fall?

Rev up the old rumour mill ladies and gents, a source by the name of "The Mole" ( I hate fucking guard dogs!) over at Ars Technica claims that he has caught wind of a possible price cut in the fall. Now most of you would have probably assumed this was going to happen regardless but there are a few details concerning the price shift strategies for both camps you may not have thought of.

Apparently the 80 GB PS3s will be scarce and hard to find as retailers will be replacing them with 160 GB models. This is essentially a plan to move as much of the 160 GB units as possible to accommodate a price cut in the fall and perhaps a possible launch of a PS3 Slim as well.

Microsoft is upping their game as well in anticipation of a price cut by releasing their XBOX 360 Pro units with Halo and Fable 2. Nothing like some quality games with the bundle deal do move some systems. This is so that the Pro model will eventually be replaced by the Elite all together offering a 160 GB console with HDMI. Sweet.

Unfortunately exact pricing details are have yet to be announced (or leaked) so stay tuned. It may be in your best interest to save you're cash for sometime in September.
