PSPgo Unboxed & "Save State" Feature Demoed
Watch (again) as these two UK blokes unbox the sleek 'n sexy PSPgo, and not only that, demoed is a little somethin' somethin' that seemingly went unmentioned as far as I know; I haven't heard or read about it anywhere else... Fast forward ~ 9 minutes and 50 seconds in... I'm talking about the new PSPgo "save state" feature. Longtime PSP owners, hacked PSP owners I should say, already know what's going down in that regard; yeah, Dark_AleX owned that shit way back when (see here, here, here, and here). But, for those who are like, "say what, save states?" Then let me tell you — it's awesome. Save your exact state anytime, anywhere, exit out the game, and return back to it later.
Now I'm not sure if Sony's version of save states/pause game accommodates the use of "slots" or not. Dark_AleX's PspStates certainly did allowing you to store up to 9 states. Whatever the case — props to Sony for adopting useful [hacked] firmware features — even if you consider it stolen.
October 1st — get the PSPgo!

They should have mentioned that Dark-Alex came up with that feature first and it's still better than the sony version. Hell, I bet once they crack the code for the firmware it will look close to the same as Dark-Alex's code.
form the video it looks as if you start another game that data would get wiped out and if you pause the new game you could only resume that one. in other words one save slot, that subsides on the 16gb flash side and probably takes up to a max of 10mb, you know what would be interesting is to see if they could confirm or deny the supposed accelerated cpu?
no offense guys but dark-alex did not invent this save-state feature.
he got the code from a game called Coded Arms.
If any of you have played this game you know that when it saves it saves the exactly how everything was when you saved it.
Again, this will make more sense if you have played it.
most likely evolution of the psp (aka PS2P) that will release most likely at the end of 2011 or 2012:
new umd will most likely be a UMDbd or a blu-ray disk system capable of holding about the same size as a dvd dual layer disk. which in turn means that sony will probably re-hash "best of" PS2 titles (ie god of war 1&2, gta, and etc.).
the graphic capabilities will be as powerful as the xbox, this info based on the company that is making the chip for the ps2p (who also made the chip for the I-phone); but i believe that it will be on par with the wii. the gpu will also handle most of the calculations also.
cpu will be a dual core clocking in at no less than 800mhz.
RAM will most likely be no less than 256 mb
flash memory (maybe): if so 32 or 16 gb with the option to expand with a sony proprietary format (hopefully duo).
Secondary analog with possible L2 and R2 and possibly L3 and R3.
NO TOUCH SCREEN, but possible accelerometer implementations as to allow it to be used as a PS3 controller.
same mic feature built in as 3000
Hopeful add-ons:
swivel cam up to 6 mega pixels
return of the mini b port
