Sony Considered Additional Analog Nub for PSPgo
Exactly... In the latest issue of Game Informer magazine, Shuhei Yoshida, President of Sony Worldwide Studios, explains why adding a second analog nub to the fully remodeled PSP just wasn't in the books. And moreover: "...some of the developers are doing quite a nice job translating the second analog functionality to different buttons." Yeah, I wonder how that'll pan out... I've played games that mimic a second analog stick, and it just isn't working for me. Whatever the case, second analog or not, you gotta get the PSPgo.
To quote Shuhei Yoshida -
We also felt - like many users - that we wish we had a second analog on the PSP. But we are talking about the mid-life cycle of this platform, and the PSPgo is designed to be perfectly compatible with the PSP-3000 and all the games that released before that. So we had a very serious discussion about this particular subject, but we decided not to add a second analog, and some of the developers are doing quite a nice job translating the second analog functionality to different buttons. We didn’t want to divert their efforts either.

wat is the point of buying sonthing new but is the same as something old
dud no way that is more like technology retard
you dumb turd...he has a point...why make something "new and remodeled" if its just gonna be the same old thing...and the buttons look like a bitch to use...(i have large hands)
the go is for several groups: your casual gamers that Sony is desperately trying to steal from the DS, those people that buy everything because it's new and they can, and those very few who are looking to psp as a portable media center. Doubtless the hardcore gamers will want to stick with the 3000 because UMDs are easier to trade than memory cards.

Whatwhatwhat? 'Hardcore' gamers trade their games often? I was under the impression that trading often was foolhardy and not financially viable. Hardcore gamers tend to stick to what they love and get good with it, hence hardcore. Also, hardcore gamers (in terms of the PSP) often times means that they don't pay(or trade) for games. (see: psphacks.com and psp-mod.com)
what the heck. whats the point in saying u are going to make it "new and remodeled" if u dont even add the additional Analog Nub, a louder speaker and if the psp go cant even play vids off of youtube then just forget releasing that piece of eh emmm shant say no more but those are the 3 major drawbacks in the psp and they need to be address so quit wasting time and do what ur paid to do fix the probs with it and no short cuts.
Yes and tell me why the DSi has 2 cameras... count em'... 2 cameras.
But the PSP Go has 0...
PSP GO can GO 2 PSP HELL!
No touch screen, no 2nd analog, and no camera... they really listened to the consumers, huh?
Seems like Sony is becoming another Microsoft. What's next, a controller that comes with only 2 buttons so you have to buy the rest? LOL!
Dude, chill out. One, the article is about the extra nub, we all wish it had it but it doesnt. Two, i agree, those features would be nice but were talking about a psp here not the DS you seemed to have paused long enough to write your post. Theres more to the psp than hardware, you could be thankfull for that.
lol be thankful, i mean no it doesnt have a touch screen, but hey its got graphics miles better then a DS, i say just wait, theyle eventually fix the problems, just might take some time
why cant they add a simple second analog, with that around they might even make a much more user friendly game and a large amount of fps games... and maybe even emulate ps2 games!!!
If they added a second analog stick and l2 and r2, they could easily port ps2 games over because the hardware is almost identical, no emulation required, sony could of even made an iso kit so you could use your ps2 to port games over the psp then they would expire after a few days, then you use your ps2 to reactivate the iso.
