Square-Enix Teaser Site Exposed

For those of you out there following the mysterious square-enix teaser site depicting a timer -> dragon -> boy -> girl can now finally get some sleep. The cat was let out of the bag thanks to jump releasing the final image and a title amoung other screenshots. Hikari no Yon Senshi: Final Fantasy Gaiden or Four Warriors of Light: Final Fantasy Gaiden will be released for the Nintendo DS as a traditional turn based RPG.

As for actual details, they can only be taken from the limited images available from the leaked source. In regards to game play, one feature that seems pretty cool will be that character equipment will actually be displayed during the actual game play. Whether equipment will be displayed during fights sequences or general exploration as well is yet to be determined. Also noted is the fact that the MP meter is no longer visible but has been replaced by a "charge" command. You travel in groups of four which probably indicates that you will encounter several new characters along your journeys and will hopefully be able to pick and choose who you bring into battle. This is all speculation really at this point as little to no details have been released.

This latest Final Fantasy adventure is on its way to Japan this fall. As for North America, we can only assume it'll be a minimum of 18 years after that if not never.
