Third Parties Decide if Games will be Released on PSN Store
That's right, you heard me. Third Party developers get to decide whether or not their new games will be available on the Playstation Store. What this means for happy new PSP Go owners is that there will be absolutely no way you will ever get to play any game that isn't available on the Store based on the publishers discretion. Sony doesn't enforce this on any of it's third party developers. If publishers feel like "heck, I'm not too sure about this PSPGo, do you think it's worth our time and effort to put this puppy up on the store?" they don't have to. This could be devastating to the new hand held as good software is known to push hardware sales. That game I really want to buy is only available on UMD?......shit.
"It's up to individual third parties to decide if and when to publish their UMD releases on PSN. Most, if not all, are on board, as this is a revenue opportunity for them,"
said Eric Lempel, SCEA's director of PlayStation Network operations
Undead Knights, Naruto Shippuden: Legends: Akatsuki Rising, NBA 2K10, Star Wars: The Clone Wars: Republic Heroes and Cars: Race O Rama have been released on UMD since the launch of the PSP Go. Not one of these games has a digital download available on the Playstation Store.
If this keeps up it could spell disaster for the PSPGo. Relaying on PSP Minis and PSOne classics to push software sales will be a tough storm to weather for Sony.....and a hard pill to swallow for PSP Go owners.

Thats what they get for scailing down the system and charging more for it. morons
exactly....why even release the pspGo? just put effort into the PSP2 or whatever the hell they're making and make it awesome. Don't see the point in this new system.
geez, it seems that sony is making the same stupid decisions right now with the GO as it did with the PS3. we weren't ready to pay so much money for the the technology that sony is bringing out as it did with the launch of the PS3 for $599.
the retail prices are very high because of the technology. $250 bucks for the GO? $50 more will get you a slim PS3.
so my point is, is that game developers are going to get pissed with Sony again and the very same incident that pushed activision to clearly state to sony (if sony wouldn't a $100 price then they wouldn't make anymore games for the console. COD4 is part of activision!) will actually embody with multiple game developing companies.
the GO will not see too many games being put out for it and another great console will start to decline in sales.
look at the PS3, the 360 has a bigger game library because this console is cheaper and sells more. game dev co. want to make $$$. sony is going to take
