V-Screen Peripheral Enables 3D Gaming on the PSP

Posted by greg on 07/22/2009

Video games, movies, even YouTube - they're all sportin' it... I mean, who doesn't want a little 3D awesomeness added to their video/gaming experience? Realview Innovations is making it happen with their new V-Screen peripheral for the PlayStation Portable, which is due out the fourth quarter of this year.

Now from what I gather, unlike traditional 3D rendered video, there are no goofy glasses or headgear to wear. Instead the V-Screen attaches to the PSP itself - you know, like the ol' Gameboy Magnifier - and utilizes distinct optical components in unprecedented ways. Oh, there's no additional software required either - it apparently works with any game. I'd assume homebrew too.

...Well it's just an attachment, its not stuck @ BloodRed™ color, & you probably dont have to stuff your face inside of it like you did the VirtualBoy™. So an in all if it works semi decent I think it has a chance in the market for sure. I'm wondering how much weight it adds (since i got a FatBoy).
